EYSA Cancellation PolicyUpdatedThursday September 12, 2019 byJason Miranda.
Hello soccer families,
We would like to clarify our cancellation policy for you as we’ve received several emails asking if practice will be cancelled for tonight.
The policy is as follows:
The EYSA Executive Board will make the decision for cancellation by 4pm for evening events and by 8am for daytime events. You will receive an email through the Sports Play Website and it will be posted on the EYSA Facebook page at those times.
We believe it’s important to notify families in a timely manner, but we also want to balance that with not making a decision too early as you know the weather can be unpredictable and forecasts are not always accurate. We also want to be clear that the presence of rain does not result in an automatic cancellation. The decision is made in consideration of player safety and the long-term condition of the fields. This means that practices and games may still happen in less than perfect weather conditions.
You will only receive notification if events are cancelled.
If you do not receive an email by 4pm on weekdays or 8am on weekends then events are on as scheduled. Please, do not contact coaches as they do not receive any information prior to these notification times.
Please be on the lookout for an email just before 4pm in case we do need to cancel practices for tonight. Thanks!
